Easter Challenge: Hold Your Head Up High

Have you heard about the tradition of the Easter bonnet? An Easter bonnet is a fancy hat worn by tradition as a Christian head-covering at Easter. It blends the renewal of the year, the growth of plants and flowers, with the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.

To be in with the chance of winning £30 of Bookshop.org vouchers, the Queenswood Purple Challenge is a creative one this time.  Whether Easter is a festival you celebrate or not, we’d like you to take part and come up with a fancy, crazy, ridiculous, incredible hat!  Nothing practical about this headpiece – it’s purely for fun, to show off in!

Perhaps you’ll add characters from your favourite book or you want to represent your favourite cake.  Maybe you have a cause you’re passionate about and want to reduce, re-use or recycle your materials into your creation.

Whatever it is, hold your head up high, take a snap and send it to us by Monday 17 April 2023.
