Queenswood is an extraordinary place with extraordinary people. It would be our privilege to educate your daughters here.

We strongly believe that fun and friendship are the foundation of a successful boarding community, and this ethos is at the heart of everything we do here at Queenswood.

Boarding allows girls to establish their independence while fostering a sense of care and concern for others, seizing every opportunity, and making friends for life.

But don't just take our word for it, hear it from our girls as well:

"My favourite memory of Year 8 was when I first starting boarding, because I made loads of new friendships." - Scarlett, Year 8

More than half the girls in the school take advantage of our attractive and spacious boarding accommodation, whether full-time or through one of our flexible packages.

Queenswood offers one of the most comprehensive suite of flexible boarding packages in the country, with girls able to board on a one-, two-, three- or four-night basis, or join us as a full boarder.

Can I stay for 4 nights or more?

As per the General Information Booklet, any pupil who stays at Queenswood School for 4 nights or more is considered a full boarder. She is allocated her own bed and is charged the full boarding rate accordingly. We are, however, in the process of reviewing this policy and will advise of any changes. Our current flexi-boarding packages offer pupils the opportunity to stay 1, 2 or 3 nights per week. These nights should remain the same each week.

Will my daughter be in the same bed?

It is important to stress that House Staff want to offer your daughter the very best boarding experience. However, we have a limited number of beds and therefore there is a requirement for flexibility from all parties. Pupils on the flexi-boarding package will not normally be required to move bed during their stay. An exception to this might be if the flexi-boarding package is not being used on consecutive days, whereupon it may be necessary to accommodate the pupil in a different bed. House Staff will be able to advise on this.

Will my daughter need to pack up her belongings?

Pupils will only be asked to pack up their belongings if there is a requirement. A typical requirement would be if the bed is needed for another pupil. Storage of personal items and bedding can be arranged with the House Staff.

How do I change my package?

We require a term’s notice to alter any packages. This must be given, in writing, to the Principal (c/o However, if there is capacity for additional boarding nights, we will always try to accommodate.
