This Week I Am Reading… Caroline Noone, Senior Admissions Officer

Friday 17 September 2021

Miss Noone joined Queenswood in 2005 as a boarding assistant. During her career here, she has worked in the Resources department, been Personal Assistant to the Vice Principal and now welcomes our new families to the school in her role as Senior Admissions Officer. Miss Noone loves reading, walking, eating out and cuddles with her Cockapoo Riley.

The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman.

What a great read, especially when I wasn’t sure what to expect. Once started, this book is one you just cannot put down!

The story revolves around four unlikely friends who live in a retirement village and who meet weekly in the Jigsaw Room to discuss unsolved crimes. Their quiet lives are transformed when a murder happens on their doorstep and the super sleuths team up to solve the real life crime.

The characterisation in this book is brilliant and I fell in love with all the members of the Thursday Murder Club. They were so likeable and it kept me wanting to read 'just one more' chapter!

Osman's sequel 'The Man who Died Twice' is now on sale and I can’t wait to read it. Look out for the upcoming Spielberg movie of the first book, it's definitely going to be worth a trip to the cinema.
