Queenswood Sport – Back to our Winning Ways!

The new sporting season has got off to very strong start, with convincing victories for Queenswood in Hockey, Tennis, Netball and more.

We present a round-up of some of the main stories recently featured on the QueenswoodSport Instagram feed.


A great start to the season for our Year 7 Hockey team on Wednesday. Lots to learn and a great game played against Bishops Stortford College.


Our U12A Netballers had their first game of the season on Tuesday night against a strong Haileybury side. Well done to all after only one session, and special mention to Aara for being voted player of the match.


Year 8 Sport Scholar Lottie had a busy summer on the cricket field representing both her club and Bucks CCC. After an impressive season she was awarded both the batting and fielding awards. Lottie has now been invited to train with the girls MCC at Lords this winter!


Summer sports news! Congratulations to Year 8 Sports Scholars Willow and Bella who recently represented Turnford A Netball in the Nottingham Netball Festival. Placing sixth  against some strong competition is a great start to the season!


Back with a bang ?! U14A Netball squad are through to the next round of the SNS National Cup with a convincing 29-13 win against St Benedict’s School. Well done to all players, and especially to player of the match Dahlia.


Great job from tennis scholar Tia who won the  Ladies Grade 3 Billericay tournament in August!


Great win today for the junior Tennis scholars on Wednesday night in their semi final v Bedford Girls! Now onto county finals!


Huge congratulations to Jess, Annabel and Georgie and the rest of the Herts team for retaining their title at the County Cup in July.


What an honour for Jess & Annabel (2nd left and 2nd right below) to be involved with the ISTA invitational v the All England Lawn Tennis Club! What a privilege for all involved!


A great result for the 1st XI v Bishops Stortford College on Wednesday: a 5-3 win! Most valuable player: Tamsin B.


A fantastic performance at St George’s 6s  from the 1st XI on Wednesday. 7 matches, 12 goals and only one loss! Great goals from Sofia M, Willow H, Kirsten L and Abby D and amazing saves from Mia B in goal.


1st XI finding their form against Leeds Grammar School: a convincing 5-0 victory! Well done Sofia S on scoring your first 1st XI hat-trick!
