Sofia M (Year 12) received the perfect 17th birthday present this week – a call-up to the GB Women’s Elite Development Programme (EDP) Squad for the 2022 season!

Since September 2017, the EDP has been nurturing players who have the potential to become medal-winning Olympians of the future. 

Sofia has already had plenty of experience of international hockey, having made a number of appearances for England U16 since her debut in the 2019-20 season.

She is one of the youngest players ever to be selected for the EDP, and everyone at Queenswood is immensely excited for her.
