For an evening of classical music with a distinctly Caledonian flavour, head to St Peter's Church in Berkhamsted this Saturday.

The classical music concert performed by Bridgewater Sinfonia will begin in dramatic style with Hamish McGunn's stirring, cinematic-sounding Land of Mountain and Flood (1887). Max Bruch's lyrical Scottish Fantasy of 1880 will sweep you off to the Highlands, and Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 (the "Scottish") will evoke Scotland's rich folk music traditions.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and under 18s go free. Adult tickets are available here.

The National Theatre is once again home to Small Island - the lavish and hugely entertaining adaptation of Andrea Levy's classic novel about Jamaica's Windrush generation.

Adapted by Helen Edmundson and directed by Rufus Norris, the acclaimed production follows the lives of Hortense, Gilbert and Queenie through the Second World War until their arrival on HMT Empire Windrush at Tilbury. Moving, funny and resonant - this production will make you laugh and cry. This run will end on 30 April and ticket demand is high, so booking soon is advisable. Visit the National Theatre website for tickets.

For the last chance to enjoy your favourite Beano characters revelling in rebellion in  Beano - The Art of the Breaking the Rules, visit Somerset House this weekend.

Step into the pages of the comic and take a trip into Beanotown to explore how this beloved icon of British comics has fired up successive generations to break the rules, while discovering artists who push boundaries in their own original and wonderful ways.

Come face-to-face with the Beano gang - including Dennis and Gnasher, Minnie the Minx, Bananaman and the Bash Street Kids – through original comic artwork and amazing artefacts, plundered from the Beano’s archive.

Entry to the exhibition is staggered  throughout the day and tickets can be purchased here.
