I did not appreciate how incredible the work and play balance was in the Sixth Form at Queenswood until hitting the real world! At Q we were encouraged to do subjects that we enjoyed, so we dedicated time and effort to our studies, supported by our teachers. I loved geography and learning about world trade flows, and 10 years later I’m in the commodities markets and still enthusiastic about how goods are transported round the world.

The careers programmes, tutors and broad curriculum, helped gently guide me towards degrees and a subsequent job that I love. This was all whilst participating in various sports teams, school plays and bouncing around the boarding houses!

Performing at work and still enjoying downtime has been second nature ever since Queenswood – you become a natural!
