MISS SOPHIA CHOUDHURY, HOCKEY PERFORMANCE COACH IN RESIDENCE

On Saturday 29 April, Queenswood welcomed Potters Bar Town Band and Ware Brass Band for their charity evening in aid of Bowel Cancer UK.

The concert was organised in memory of Steve Munn, a member of Ware Brass Band, who sadly passed away after his battle with bowel cancer, and so the programme was organised to reflect some of his favourite pieces, such as ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked and ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Morten Lauridsen.

Thanks to the capacity of Q Hall, the evening was a wonderful chance for many of Steve’s friends and family to gather and celebrate his life, and through the course of the event, over £6700 was raised for Bowel Cancer UK.
