We were treated to an evening of glorious music-making in the Ernest Read Hall on Wednesday 4 May, as nine talented vocalists competed for the coveted Gold Singing Award.

Our adjudicator for the evening was Natalie May Paris, star of the West End sensation Six The Musical. She was highly complimentary about the singers’ ability to convey the story of their songs in performance.

After much deliberation, Natalie announced the following results:

• Commended: Annie L and Konyinsola S
• Highly Commended: Bethany N
• Winner: Tanya D

Many congratulations to everyone who took part. Our thanks go to Natalie for her adjudication, and also to Queenswood’s singing teachers, Ms Rees and Ms Pilgrim, and accompanist Mr Newport.
