The Melisma Quartet in rehearsal, Thursday 10 March

On Tuesday 15 March, Queenswood’s Melisma String Quartet will perform at the stunning church of St George, Hanover Square, in the final of the South East Schools Chamber Music Competition.

It is the first time that an ensemble from Queenswood has entered this extremely prestigious competition, and we are absolutely thrilled that our string players have been selected for the final.

They will perform the first movement of Beethoven’s String Quartet, op. 18, no.1 in F major, alongside ensembles from schools such as Harrow, Wycombe Abbey and UCS.

The Melisma Quartet comprises violinists Tehya D (Year 13) and Jodi-Faye H (Year 11), viola player Nana W (Year 10), and cellist Kalli Z (Year 8).
