Queenswood Tennis Performance Programme

Queenswood is one of the world’s leading girls’ schools for aspiring international tennis players. The school has been ranked as the UK’s No.1 school by the LTA for girls’ tennis since 2018.

Our Scholars won the Team Tennis Schools’ National Championships at U13, U15 and U18 in 2023, and the U18 and U15 teams retained their titles in 2024. We also achieved Bronze medal at the ISF World Tennis Championships in 2019 in Italy, 4th place at the ISF World Gymnasiade in Bahrain in 2024, and have had several players compete at Junior Wimbledon.

Tennis Scholars have access to an unparalleled training programme, based at the Gosling Tennis Academy, the largest academy in Great Britain. Students on the Queenswood Performance Tennis Programme receive training a world class coaching team including LTA Level 5 Master Performance Coaches, plus a strength and conditioning team.

Facilities here at Queenswood include 12 outdoor clay courts, 6 outdoor hard courts, two indoor hard courts, a swimming pool, a cardio gym and a new indoor centre with fitness suite. Bespoke individual training programmes are overseen by each Scholar’s Programme Manager and the Director of Tennis.

The Tennis Scholarship programme operates on two tiers.

Tier 1 applicants must show Top 20 potential at National level and be regularly competing in Grade 3-5 LTA tournaments reaching deep into the tournaments. Tier 1 potential Scholars may also be playing internationally at Junior ITF events or Tennis Europe events.

Tier 2 applicants will have the potential and aspiration to achieve regional level, regularly competing and succeeding in minimum of Grade 5 – Grade 3 tournaments. Both tiers have an expectation of playing regularly and consistently in competitions (regularly is defined as twice monthly on average throughout the year).
