OQ Running Achievements

Tuesday 2 May 2017

Over the past couple of weeks numerous OQs have been busy pounding the roads (and desert) to take place in marathons, ultra-marathons and
other races. Congratulations to each and every one of you who has taken
part; many of you have raised money for worthy causes.

Sarah Dudgeon (left) broke another London Marathon Guinness world record, as a monk, in 3:21:33.

Fleur Harvey (Left) completed the London Marathon in 3:46 and got a good for age time, guaranteeing entry to next year’s London Marathon.

Charlie Watson (middle) ran both the Boston and London Marathon. The London Marathon was her 8th Marathon, and she ran it with her fiancé in 4:22:28. Charlie who writes the running bean vlog tells her story if you click here,

Fizzy Egan (nee Edwards) ran her 18th London Marathon and said “she saw a few OQ’s supporting brilliantly on the way round”.

Abby Rowton ran the London Marathon in 4:27.

In early April Holly Saunders took part in the gruelling Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert, in aid of Mencap. The 6 day, 251 km ultramarathon is approximately 6 marathons in distance.
