As part of our celebrations to mark  the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and in support of The Queen's Green Canopy - a tree planting initiative to create a sustainable legacy in honour of The Queen's leadership of the Nation - each of our four Houses planted a commemorative tree this week.

The trees - Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis Rosea'  - were planted outside the Chapel and will bear pretty pink blossom from autumn to early spring. After a dedication by Mrs Cameron and a prayer of thanksgiving read by Reverend Vindra, pupils from each House took turns to assist in the planting.

We hope that in the years to come, returning students will visit their House tree and remember the auspicious occasion.
