Maths Puzzle Day 2014
Thursday 27 March 2014
Years 7 to 10 (as well as some lucky Upper Sixthstudents) enjoyed a range of fun, challenging and sometimes frustrating puzzles
when the Happy Puzzle Company came into school on Friday 21 March.
From balancing penguins on a wobbly iceberg
to fitting blocks of different shapes and sizes into trucks, the girls were
tested on their teamwork skills, patience and logical thinking. One activity required working out sums on
blocks and then stacking them in the correct order so that totals on each side
were correct, and another involved fitting cogs together in the correct
Visiting Year 5s from Little
Heath also came along for a session and enjoyed the fun. Well done to everyone for taking part enthusiastically
and rising to the challenge.
