Hannah smashes Queenswood Cross-Country record at the Hurley Cup

Tuesday 2 April 2019

The whole school congregated on Trew Lawn on a wintry March afternoon for the annual Hurley Cup for Inter-House Cross-Country.

Staff and pupils ran the mile-long course to accrue points for their Houses. There was a terrific array of mascots and flags, not to mention several House pets!
We were delighted to welcome back Mrs Hurley and her daughters Bec and Jess for this fifth anniversary event. There were some tremendous performances from our elite sportswomen, with Tennis Scholar Hannah Read (Year 8) completing the course in a frankly astonishing 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Congratulations to Clapham North, the overall winners, and to the following girls who ran the fastest times in their year groups:
  • Year 7 1. Talia Pavett 2. Sofia Amodu 3. Grace Burrows
  • Year 8 1. Hannah Read 2. Sofia Sartori 3. Breanna Olupitan
  • Year 9 1. Lucy Labdon 2. Moni Olabajo 3. Sofia Martin
  • Year 10 1. Jess Robertson 2. Clara Mee 3. Lucy Jarman
  • Year 11 1. Holly Hodgskinson 2. Hannah Kilpatrick 3. Ellie Gilmore
