Comedian Ruby Wax on How to Be Human
Thursday 17 January 2019
Comedian, broadcaster and bestselling author Ruby Wax knows a thing or two about mental health. She has a masters degree from Oxford University in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and has written How To Be Human – The Manual in conjunction with a monk and a neuroscientist. She visited Queenswood in January to talk about her book and her experiences. In a wide-ranging conversation with Principal Jo Cameron, she spoke about the pressure to be happy, the effects of social media and smartphone technology, her thoughts on the British education system, and much more. After the talk, she was extrememly generous with her time, answering questions from the audience and signing copies of How To Be Human.
