Many congratulations to Annabelle R (Year 8), who was awarded second prize in the Grade 5 String Competition at the North London Festival of Music, Drama and Dance on 14 March. Annabelle performed ‘Cossack Dance’ (T and N Kraemer), and was praised by the judge for her ‘lovely vibrato’, ‘clear tone’ and ‘relaxed sense of performance’. The NLF is highly prestigious and well-regarded, and we are delighted that Annabelle has joined a number of Queenswood students who have excelled in this competition over the years.
