The Super Curriculum

At Queenswood, we recognise the importance of pupils working independently outside of their taught lessons.

By stretching and challenging themselves beyond the curriculum, pupils develop a lifelong love of learning, and they expand their cultural capital to set themselves apart from others, even those with a similar academic profile. Consequently, pupils who independently stretch themselves go on to do better in public exams than those who do not.

Each department, therefore, has put together a list of suggested activities that pupils of every age can do independently to enrich their learning. This is called the Super Curriculum, because it enables pupils to immerse themselves more fully in the subjects they already study.
