Queenswood is an extraordinary place with extraordinary people. It would be our privilege to educate your daughters here.

Covid-19

Our girls and staff responded magnificently to online learning during the periods of lockdown in summer 2020 and spring 2021.

We continued with a full timetable for all year groups, delivered in real time via video-conferencing software and collaborative documents, and we even created special extension courses for our Year 11 and 13 pupils to keep them motivated and enthused after the cancellation of exams.

“The correspondence with school and the teaching methods have been fantastic and my husband and I couldn’t be happier with the way Queenswood have dealt with this unknown situation.”

– A Queenswood parent, March 2020

This video from June 2020 explains more about our Remote Learning provision.

Now that the vast majority of our pupils are physically back at school, we have implemented a series of measures to ensure the safety of girls and staff and minimise the risk of coronavirus infection. A small number of pupils who are unable to return at present due to travel restrictions are continuing to access their lessons remotely. Our website and virtual visits will provide you with much of the information you require or alternatively please email [email protected] for further details.

Can I arrange a visit?

Will you be changing your dates for 2021 entrance examinations and scholarship tests?

We expect to run a full programme of entrance examinations and scholarship tests next academic year in line with previous years and these dates will be published as soon as they are confirmed.

Will my daughter be able to obtain her visa to start school in September 2021?

If your child needs a visa to attend Queenswood please email us at [email protected] and your query will be referred to our visa specialist. They will be able to deal with queries on an individual basis, providing the most up to date information available from the Home Office and ultimately assisting families through the whole visa application process, as and when necessary.

How are you ensuring children are safe on returning to school?

We appreciate that there are concerns about health and hygiene now that schools have re-opened.  Please be reassured that we are following guidance issued by the UK government and extensive additional cleaning and hygiene practices are in place. We will also continue to follow all the UK government’s rules that relate to social distancing and isolation as they evolve.  Parents should know that we have a fully staffed and equipped medical centre on our school site with qualified practitioners. If you would like more detail about our Covid-19 health and hygiene protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), please contact our Admissions team at [email protected].
