Having already coordinated a mammoth fundraising effort this year with Year 7, raising almost £2,000 for Noah's Ark Children's Hospice, Miss Bassett is now taking on another challenge!

She may have thought they said "rum" but Miss Bassett has signed up to run the Virgin London Marathon on 3 October this year. She will be running on behalf of Noah's Ark and with just 99 days until race day as we go to print, she needs your help!

Miss Bassett ran the Marathon in 2017 and is hoping to improve her time to sub 4 hours this year! For those of you who have not heard about the amazing work that Noah's Ark do, here is Miss Bassetts' fundraising story:

"Hey Everyone!

I am really excited to be running the London Marathon on 3rd October 2021 for the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. This is a small charity that I have worked closely with for a number of years now; they do such an amazing job at providing special moments for children and babies with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and I couldn't think of a better charity to run for.

Thank you in advance for your donations, it really will make a huge difference to the charity and the lives of these young people."
