This week we were transported to the grimy backstreets of 19th century London for the Drama Scholars’ and Principal’s Award Holders’ brilliantly atmospheric production of Oliver Twist.

Set to a soundtrack of modern pop and rock, this was a radical and innovative retelling of the Dickens classic, with a cast of 25 talented performers from Year 7 to the Sixth Form. 

The tale was told with minimal props and set, with cast members cleverly suggesting locations using planks, umbrellas and picture frames.
