A-Level and Pre-U – Summer 2017

Sixth Formers at Queenswood achieved another extremely impressive set of A-Level and Pre-U results, with 77% A*–B across 25 subjects. There were many exceptional individual and departmental successes. One third of students gained at least three A*/A grades, while 100% of results in Modern Languages and History were A*–B, and all candidates in Further Mathematics gained an A*.

Students have secured places on a highly prestigious range of undergraduate courses, including History and Italian at Oxford, Pharmacy at University College London, Law at Durham, Civil Engineering at Imperial College London, and Art History at St Andrews.

Principal Jo Cameron was delighted with the superb results. ‘The girls and staff have worked with incredible enthusiasm and commitment, and their achievements are thoroughly deserved. I would like to wish our departing Upper Sixth students every success for the future.’

GCSE – Summer 2017

With over two thirds A*-A and a hugely impressive 88% A*-B, Queenswood’s Year 11 celebrated tremendous GCSE results in the summer of 2017.

Confirming the ISI’s judgement that ‘pupils’ attainment is outstanding’, 35% of all grades were A*. With 82% A*-A in English Literature, 71% in Maths and 68% across the Sciences, these results cement Queenswood’s reputation as a leading academic school. Th ere were superb achievements in History and Modern Languages – respectively, 74% and 78% of grades were A* or A.

Principal Jo Cameron was thrilled with the girls’ successes. ‘We are extremely proud of these fantastic results – they are a real testament to the dedication and determination of our students and staff . These results prove that a Queenswood education adds real value – girls here attain at least one grade per subject higher than expectation. They will now embark on their A-Level and Pre-U courses with great confidence and ambition.’
