CHALLENGE 1: Say Cheese!

Have you ever stopped to look at a spectacular sunset? Can you remember the reaction of someone you love when they were surprised with an amazing treat?

These scenes evoke a picture in our minds, and some people say that a picture paints a thousand words. “I’m lost for words”, we say, but the situation or picture we see before us says it all!

The Queenswood Purple Challenge this time is a photo one. To be in with a chance of winning £30 of Amazon vouchers, we’d like you to take some pictures that tell a story.

So, think of a word or phrase as your title, and take a picture that represents the title. Alternatively you can take up to three pictures that tell a longer story, a bit like a comic.

Come up with something quirky or unexpected. Perhaps your pictures are taken from an unusual angle or perspective. Or perhaps your picture makes someone think differently, questions what they see or generates more questions or ideas.

Please make sure that anyone you take pictures of is happy to be in them and ask the owner first if you plan to borrow a camera or phone.

So don’t delay, get into the right “frame” of mind, get your ideas into “focus”, and see what “develops”!
