Of all the changes that have taken place in the last two weeks, for me the strangest irony is that social isolation has brought communities together in a way that had never been the case before. If that's true for you, try to remember that there will still be people who are unconnected. Reach out to the people that live nearby and the people that still come to your door - the refuse collectors, the postmen and women, the delivery drivers - and have a smile and a word for them too.

However terrible the news becomes, however closely the outbreak touches you, it will pass, and when it does, let's remember how we got through - not on our own, but each doing our part, to protect others as well as ourselves. We are all stronger when we work together. The support that we have felt at Q has been amazing - I have been sharing (anonymised) some of the comments sent in with the staff each morning and I am sure that this has helped them as they have approached their new teaching methods, often whilst looking after their own children as well.

To the girls, thank you for engaging so positively in remote learning. To those in Y11 and Y13, we have your backs, and we will make sure that we present your abilities to the exam boards in the best possible way using the information that we have - you can count on that. Please try to enjoy the release from your timetable for three weeks and we will see you, in person, or online, on 21st April.
