Hanni’s Happiness Book on sale nationwide for BBC Children in Need

Thursday 18 September 2014

Hanni Blaskey (Year 9) has compiled a book of happiness secrets from a host of celebrities and public figures, including Prime Minister David Cameron. What Makes Me Happy? is on sale in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

Moved by the TVcoverage of BBC
Children in Need’s work all over the UK to help disadvantaged children, Hanni
sent letters to a variety of high profile individuals to ask them to write or
draw about what makes them happy.

The
collection of handwritten responses from over 100 of the country’s best-loved
entertainment, music and sports celebrities, including
Michael McIntyre, Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger, plus politicians, including
Boris Johnson and Ed Milliband, have been collated for the book. The responses
are funny, inspiring, emotional and moving; providing a fascinating snapshot
into the wide variety of things that make people truly happy. The Prime
Minister also got on-board and has written the foreword.

What
Makes Me Happy?
is on sale in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from 15 September, priced at £3.00. £2.00 will donated to BBC Children
in Need for every copy sold.

The Queenswood community is truly proud of Hanni’s remarkable achievement, and we would encourage all parents, staff, students and friends of the school to support this worthy cause by buying her book.
