Queenswood is an extraordinary place with extraordinary people. It would be our privilege to educate your daughters here.

Women of the World

Tuesday 12 March 2019
It was a busy week for the Academic Scholars and Sixth Form Government and Politics students. On Sunday 3 and Monday 4 March, 11 students represented Queenswood at Felsted School's Model United Nations Conference. A mixture of novices and more experienced students, all had a great time as the delegations from Kazakhstan, Portugal and Cote D'Ivoire, discussing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. On Friday 8 March, 19 students travelled to London's Royal Festival Hall to attend the Women of the World Festival, now in its ninth year. The girls were lucky enough to hear panel discussions involving world-class speakers such as Australia's former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, anti-FGM campaigner Nimco Ali, and author of Feminists Don't Wear Pink, Scarlett Curtis. We were also treated to performances by stand-up comedian Rosie Jones, cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson, and Annie Lennox. It was a really inspiring trip, and a fitting way to mark International Women's Day."
