Personal Tutor System

Queenswood is exceptional in having a personal tutor system for the Sixth Form students.  Instead of being allocated to a tutor group, the girls choose their tutors at the start of the Lower Sixth and work with them on an individual basis over the two years.  Tutorial meetings are arranged at mutually convenient times for both parties, rather as they might be at university.

The tutor has a mentoring role and oversees the academic and pastoral development of his/her tutees.  The girls will also benefit from the guidance their tutors will provide on university applications.

Both girls and tutors greatly enjoy this opportunity to forge a closer staff-student relationship than might otherwise be possible.  Many remain firm friends for many years long after the girls have left Queenswood!
