Medical Centre
In accordance with the 'Children Act 1989' the school has a Medical Centre staffed by two experienced, friendly and approachable Registered General Nurses who provide 24 hour medical cover.

The Medical Centre aims to provide optimum health care within a caring holistic environment; the nursing staff care for the physical, psychological and social needs of each individual girl. Our nurses provide health promotion, health education, first aid and administer over the counter preparation as considered necessary. The nurses are supported by a female General Practitioner (GP) from a local surgery and she holds two or three surgeries per week in the Medical Centre.

Like the nursing service, a GP is on call 24 hours a day in an emergency.  Although the nurses hold four surgeries a day, girls can visit the Medical Centre on a 'walk-in' basis when necessary. In addition, a counsellor is available for consultation once a week and this confidential service is available to both staff and girls. All medical records are confidential.
