The theme of Waller’s house supper this year was “Circus” and the dining hall was transformed into a dazzling arena within the big top. Girls and guests became well known circus characters: clowns, ring-masters, wild animals, sweet-sellers, ballerinas and even a strong man joined the parade! After a delicious supper, the entertainment included music and song from Waller’s recent winning House Music presentation. The percussion band’s numbers had everyone toe-tapping and whooping and the whole House rendition of Karl Jenkins’s iconic song Adiemus was very much appreciated, and worthy of a larger venue and audience. At the end of a marvellous evening, the animals went home, the clowns took off their make-up, the ring-masters put away their whips, the party was over – but the memories of a happy event will live on.
