Queenswood's sportswomen have been enjoying triumphant successes in recent weeks.

This weekend the Queenswood Riding took part in the Potton Cross Country Event and did well against some tough teams to be placed fourth. Jessica B (Year 9) won her section.

Jodie W (Year 10) won the U17 60m at the England Athletics Nationals in the Birmingham NIA this February. On Sunday 15 March she ran her very first 400m Indoor in an Inter-Counties match (Herts v Essex v Middlesex), purely to verify that her Speed Endurance training is ‘on track’. It certainly is: she ran 54.95s, which was an all time U17 400m record in the UK, and put her firmly at the top of the U20 400m ranking list in the country.

On March 1, Melissa L (Year 11) was placed third at the County Indoor Championships in the Ladies' U17 800m. This means she is the first reserve for the English inter-counties and schools indoor competitions.

Henrietta W-P (Year 7) has qualified as an individual in the 12’2 show pony class for Hickstead this summer. Hickstead is one of the most prestigious horse riding events on the calendar. Henrietta’s qualification represents an immense achievement.
