AS Theatre Studies students performed two enthralling short plays in the Helen McCrory Studio Theatre on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 February.
Tony Grounds’ little-performed comedy gem,
Made In Spain, is set in the mid-1980s. Four very different North London women, brought together by their husbands’ dubious business dealings, find themselves suddenly relocated to a Spanish holiday apartment.
Be My Baby by Amanda Whittington is set in a 1960s home for unmarried teenage mothers. The unfortunate girls find hope in this grim and joyless institution through the music of the Ronettes and the Dixie Cups.
The work was presented in preparation for the AS Theatre Studies practical examination. |
