Herts Schools Tennis Doubles 2008

On Saturday 26 April our warm and sunny Queenswood tennis courts hosted the Herts Schools Tennis Doubles Championships.

Queenswood 1^st pair player Marina L with her new partner Shona Y retained her 18U title with a decisive win in the final over the St. Albans Abbey pair. Our 2^nd pair of Holly L and Beth S lost to the St. Albans Abbey pair but went on to win the 18U Plate final.

I n the 14U event both pairs reached the semi-final stages with our 2^nd pair of Rebecca S and Nicole G losing to the twins from St. Francis. Our 1^st pair of Holly R and Lindsay Y then took on the twins but lost a close fought final 6-4 to become runners-up. An excellent effort all round with all pairs communicating well on court and enjoying their tennis.
