The Drama exam season closed with two brilliant adaptations of Roald Dahl novels: 'The Witches' and 'The BFG', performed in the CFT by the GCSE Drama groups on 23 and 24 March. The girls took every opportunity to explore an imaginative range of ensemble and technical effects: live video links, UV dream sequences, silhouettes, puppetry and animation brought the magical world of 'The BFG' to life, whilst 'The Witches' employed pyrotechnics, remote-control mice, vocal effect microphones, flying knitting and a disgusting collection of spotty bald heads to tell their disturbing tale. |
