The Houses
Hartley Yr 9-11
|
|
In Hartley, we like to think of ourselves as the most enthusiastic House, but others would probably say we are noisy! The Hartley girls love to get behind their teams in Inter-House matches and we are the current Sports Champions. |

|
Hartley girls have their quieter moments too. Crafts of all kinds can be done in the 'Aladdin's Cave' of a room which belongs to our Boarding Assistant,
Daphne Walton, and where you can also find a collection of the most infuriating puzzles! Hartley girls are kind to each other, support each other and love to celebrate each other's successes. As the girls say: 'Hartley rocks'! |
Sharon Hardie
joined Queenswood as a Housemistress in 1990, first in Clapham South and then in Waller, with an exchange visit to an Australian school in the middle. After 10 years she felt the need of a change and worked at Roedean, but the pull of Queenswood was too strong and she returned in 2003 as Housemistress of Hartley.
Sharon teaches Physical Education, Religious Studies and also co-ordinates the extracurricular activities programme. She enjoys all sports, particularly Badminton and she is an avid reader. Sharon loves to travel and she has been lucky enough to go on several tours with the Queenswood Tennis and Hockey teams.
