Year 10 Geographers in Cambridge

On Friday 18 June the Year 10 Geographers visited Cambridge to do the fieldwork for their Controlled Assessment which will count for 25% of their GCSE. It was a perfect day for fieldwork; bright, dry and not too hot. They were investigating the changes in the Central Business District along a transect from Marks and Spencer on Sidney Street to the edge of the CBD. They worked in small groups collecting their data in the morning before a well earned break for lunch. In the afternoon they collected more data, and then enjoyed a walk past many colleges, over the River Cam and along the picturesque Backs to the coach. The girls will now be writing up their findings over the next few months.
