In the best interests of overseas girls, it is a condition of acceptance at Queenswood that a guardian living permanently in the
UK
must be appointed before a girl joins the school. It is important that overseas girls are able to enjoy 'going home' to their guardian during periods when the school is closed and equally important that school staff are able to contact the guardian quickly if there is a need. Guardians are invited to become fully involved in school life and are welcome to attend events and activities at Queenswood.
A guardian may be a family member, a friend residing permanently in the
UK or a responsible person appointed by a specialist agency/organisation. A guardian must be over 25 years old and not a student living in rented or student accommodation. We work with various agencies who will be pleased to help appoint a guardian and a list of agencies may be obtained from the Registrar.
