Year 7 applicants are interviewed by a senior member of staff in the second half of the Autumn Term prior to entry.  

The following term, all 11+ candidates sit the Common Entrance Examination in mid to late January. Papers are set in English, Maths and Science and results are sent out within two weeks of the examination. If the Common Entrance Examination is not available to girls, then they may sit the Queenswood Entrance Examination and candidates considering boarding are invited to stay overnight before the examination.
