In Memoriam: Tanya Maunder-Taylor
It is with great sadness we have to inform you that our colleague,
Tanya Maunder Taylor, the Development Officer at Queenswood, has
recently passed away. Anne Dearle, Chair of the OQA has written some
very fitting words about her.
Nine Lessons and Carols
An enjoyable and memorable service was held on Saturday 5 December, attended by a large congregation of OQs, their families and friends (including a number in prams who were particularly welcome!) The service was led by Queenswood’s new Chaplain, the Reverend Graham Wright and the Queenswood Singers, who set a very high standard of music, ably conducted by their Director of Music, Jonathan Dobson.
OQs' Career Advice
Old Queenswoodians Claire McConnell and Helen Wheeler delighted girls in Years 10 and 11 with an insightful account of their progress since leaving Queenswood in the Year 2000. Their endeavours have included first degrees in Meteorology at Reading and Engineering at Cambridge. These were followed by a PhD at Imperial College and work in the City in the world of Investment Banking, respectively.c
