New To Queenswood?
What our girls say
What I like about Q... by some of our girls
"I really enjoy the music facilities as I play the piano and harp and have singing lessons. I love to show my abilities by playing in the lunch-time concerts which I thoroughly enjoy." -
Georgina W, Year 8
"Queenswood is a friendly and a very caring school. You will always see people smiling as they walk round. By the time they get to Upper Sixth, they are very much attached to Queenswood and they never want to leave." -
Cassandra S, Year 8
"This school is the best school ever because this it is not only educational, but also takes in all the girls' views and is very environmental which I am too!" -
Elizabeth T, Year 8
"The best thing about Queenswood is that they give you freedom. My best experience was when we drove through the gates on my first day and thought that is my school." -
Maria M, Year 8
"The best thing about going to Queenswood is that you feel as though you're not trapped inside a stuffy building because you walk outside to classes and buildings. There are beautiful woods and I love the uniform because they look nice and they aren't uncomfortable. Also the food is amazing and so is the school shop. There are so many things to do here and one of my favourite things to do is have drama lessons, especially here because the drama block is brand new and almost like a real theatre where you would go to watch professional actors or actresses. One more really good thing is that you do your homework at school, so when you go home you're completely free to do anything you want." -
Elena M, Year 8
"The best thing about Queenswood is the sports facilities and the opportunity to have a go at everything. You have a chance to represent Queenswood in a sport or be a supporter, cheering your friends on and they can support you in your hobby, whether it be drama, sport or music. You get a chance to join in with everything. Also, everyone is so nice, it doesn't matter what you do, they'll support you all the way." -
Alice H, Year 8
What I like about boarding...
"I like boarding because all the years are close together in one community and you can be friends with people other than in your year." -
Jenny B, Year 11
"You are around all your friends all the time and the school facilities are always on hand to use. I also love the people in Clapham South. If it weren't for them, I don't think I'd love living here as much as I do! We also have great weekend trips!" -
Samie B, Year 11
"I like the liveliness, homeliness, the feeling of independence, the facilities, the whole community and I like feeling of the middle school house." -
Essie B, Year 10
"I like being close and comfortable with girls you've only just met but because of boarding you feel like you've known them forever." -
Anjola A, Year 11
"I like sleeping in my comfy bed and seeing my friends." -
Tania R, Year 10
