From the Head Girl

As Head Girl, I want to make sure that every voice in the school community is heard. If we add up the length of time that each member of the new Head Girl's Team has been at Queenswood, we have 27 years of experience to help us in our leadership of the school. As a year group the Upper Sixth has 264 years of experience, and our team appreciates how valuable they will be in maintaining the order and structure of the school. The representatives of the Year Groups on the School Council will be vital in creating a strong group to work with both the girls and staff.
Yet the term 'leadership' only covers a portion of our desired role in the school. As life here is so different for each year group, we are keen to build closer and more personal relationships with the student body. This may take the form of regular visits to lower school houses, so that closer associations with the girls will leave us better equipped to meet their demands. For instance, we hope that we can satisfy the incessant pleas for more socials with boys' schools!
It is my privilege to lead such an energetic team through what will be the most exciting and strenuous year of our time at Queenswood. We wish everyone a successful year.
