Sounds Outstanding’ at the Saatchi Gallery

Saturday 30 March 2013

On Friday 1 March 2013, theinternationally acclaimed Saatchi Gallery of modern art in London hosted an
evening of music inspired by the current exhibition of Russian contemporary
artists titled ‘Gaiety is the most outstanding feature of the Soviet Union’.

Three
of our GCSE Music composers, Zoë Lykourgou, Elizabeth Ng and May Ching Lai – with choreography
and live dance contribution by Lizzie Cardozo-Richards for Zoë’s piece – presented their work in
front of a 250-strong paying audience, with live performances of their pieces
by professional musicians.

The sold-out event, advertised in the Evening
Standard, was a resounding success, and a unique opportunity for our students to showcase their remarkable talents.

Videos of the three performances are available to view below.
