Life in the Lower School

Stamp House

Stamp House was refurbished just four years ago by Lord Stamp, grandson of Lord Josiah Stamp, who first opened the original Stamp House. Recent refurbishment has equipped this boarding House to the highest specifications of modern accommodation including bedrooms, social and study areas that altogether span three floors within a generous enclosed garden.

However, Stamp House is more than a stunningly refurbished building. It is a warm and welcoming inclusive community that is home to around 100 Lower School girls from Years 7 and 8. There, Boarders and Day Girls alike have the space and support to adjust to secondary school life in a bustling but unpressurised environment.

Goals and Aims of Queenswood Lower School

Our ultimate aim in the Lower School is to help girls to become independent students with enthusiasm for learning and the ambition to develop their skills and qualities to their fullest extent. Beyond the classroom, there is a wealth of opportunities for younger girls to enrich their education. These include a wide range of over 90 co-curricular clubs and activities and a diverse programme of House outings and excursions.

The Queenswood Lower School Community

Queenswood is a close-knit, happy community. We emphasise consideration for others and encourage our girls to make a positive contribution to the life of the school. We want every girl to feel valued as an individual while possessing the confidence and spirit to work as part of a team.

An Independent School With Individualised and Comprehensive Care

At Queenswood, we take care to understand and get to know your daughter. At whatever stage she joins us, we will work to comphrehend her individual needs as quickly as possible. We offer the highest standard of individualised attention and care, that we may best enable to help her grow up cheerfully, comfortably and confidently.
